Happy Mother’s Day
My writing today is dedicated to mothers and grandmothers everywhere. I would estimate that 90% of my clients and students are mothers and probably 40% are grandmothers as well. Wherever would we be without mothers? We may have disappointments and resentments toward our moms but we also have love. We may have equal disappointments and resentments toward our children and toward the job of mothering we have done. It is indeed the hardest job in the world. I don’t know anyone who would argue that point. No one does a perfect job of mothering. Each mom must come to a point of humility and acceptance that we are all human and we simply do the very best that we can. We are flawed, as are our moms and our children. Indeed, how could it be otherwise, given that we are human? Each generation heals some of what has come before. We all do better than our own moms at this job and our children will do a better job than we have. We must honor our own motherhood and practice radical self-care.

The Changing Moon this week

PRACTICAL THINKING AND COMMUNICATION – Wednesday, May 12, 2021
By the time things get moving today the Moon has entered the mutable air sign of Gemini. When the Moon is in Gemini we all want to chat and catch up with our friends. It is easy to make connections and conversations with old and new friends alike. It is easier than usual to make small talk, say what is on your mind, and hear what others are thinking.
At 2:33 PM EDT Mercury forms a trine aspect to Saturn. Think about this. The Moon is in Gemini, which is ruled by Mercury. Mercury is also currently in Gemini, one of the two signs it rules. This brings more attention and importance than usual to your communications as well as to this aspect itself.
Trine aspects offer the gift of flow. With Mercury trine Saturn the flow relates to serious thinking and conversations. Your common sense is likely strong and your focus is on things that are practical. You are able to deliver what you want to say easily. What practical serious communications do you need to deliver today? All communications handled with maturity and patience will be well received.
