SCORPIO FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE

Here in the Eastern time zone, the Lunar Eclipse occurred eleven minutes after midnight. A lunar eclipse is like a Full Moon on steroids. I expect a lot of you will be rather bleary-eyed as you read this. Full Moons often disrupt our sleep and the eclipse may well heighten that impact.

Today’s Moon in Sagittarius pushes us to new adventures and encourages humor and a lighter philosophical approach to life. As you contemplate the big life questions of meaning and significance, you may find yourself a bit restless. The meaning of life is a primary Sagittarius concern.

I must mention an amazing new book by Lillian Faderman “Woman: The American History of an Idea”. This powerfully researched history explains much about my mother, grandmother, sisters, daughter, and granddaughter. I highly recommend reading it.
Sagittarius is the mutable Fire sign and when the Moon is here we look for inspiration in adaptability. Enjoy this day as the Sagittarius Moon allow us to focus on building an optimistic philosophical worldview. Expand humor and vision, and look for the silver lining in even the most challenging situations.

ACTIVATING A DREAM

While you were sleeping Mars, the planet of action conjunct Neptune, the planet of dreams (2:33 AM ET). This is a cycle that repeats every two years. The cycle that began in mid-June 2020 has now come to an end. We now begin a new cycle related to and holding the memory of the last one. In June of 2020, there was so much uncertainty and confusion. Our lives have played that story out for two years now.
As the new cycle begins we are not sure what or who to believe and yet we must continue to respond and interact. Allow Mars to invigorate a dream that you hold dear in the house that holds Pisces in your whole sign natal chart. You are probably lacking energy in this area of your life that you can make up for with charisma. You can charm yourself and others by spinning stories and dreams with your imagination. You could use this time to ritualize a dream being energized in the house of Pisces in your natal chart.
This is a great time to focus on a Neptunian endeavor such as meditation, writing poetry, listening to or making music, or simply daydreaming. Things that normally motivate you may be missing, let go of those old expectations. Simply dream and rest.
At 8:01 AM ET, the Moon enters Capricorn pushing you toward more practical considerations over the coming days. As the Moon passes through this serious sign the prevailing mood is cautious, determined, and prudent. Capricorn is the cardinal earth sign, ruled by Saturn and represented by the solitary mountain goat. At 8:10 AM ET, the Taurus Sun forms a lovely flowing trine aspect to Pluto. This opens the floodgates of practical activities that require deep exploration and the skills of a detective. What do you see today that opens your eyes to your true power? Look to the houses that hold Taurus and Capricorn in your whole sign natal chart. Notice the flow and the stability between these two areas of your life.
Practical actions are reinforced and supported. The ground may be moving beneath your feet but you understand that there is bedrock below and you are supported.
At 9:32 PM ET, Mercury (retrograde in Gemini) sextile Jupiter in Aries. Mercury formed this aspect with Jupiter on April 27th, now it is backing over that point once again. This aspect pushes your thinking toward the future and encourages open communication.
You will be having the same thoughts or conversations that you had in late April. The conversation won’t be complete until after June 20th when it passes this way a third time in its forward motion. OBJECTIVITY & CLARITY

The Moon continues through the Fixed Air sign of Aquarius today. Enjoy the gift of being able to objectively observe our emotions at this time. We won’t get swallowed up with moodiness or allow the emotions of others to control our actions.
We have distance enough from our emotions to see and understand what is important. With the Sun in Gemini and the Moon in Aquarius (both Air signs) look for new ideas and fascinations. Follow the breadcrumbs they provide. Open your mind beyond the filters that usually keep your thinking contained.
At 3:17 PM ET, the Sun conjunct retrograde Mercury. This is called the inferior conjunction and it occurs at the halfway point through the retrograde period. At the inferior conjunction, your mind is clear and focused, don’t take that to mean it is time to move forward with projects and plans.
We are still in the retrograde. Use this mental clarity to reflect on what you have learned since the retrograde began on May 10th. Pay attention and record great ideas that arrive now, but do wait to implement them. Don’t let impatience or impulsiveness get the best of you.

At 11:49 AM ET, the Moon sets that behind and enters the mutable water sign of Pisces. Here we encounter a deeper than usual level of emotional sensitivity. This may feel delightful as you drift on waves of sensitivity or it may feel overwhelming as you struggle to keep your head above water. Don’t engage in the struggle, allow yourself to drift, rest, and dream.
At 2:43 PM ET, the Pisces Moon forms its Last Quarter phase to the Sun. This is a time of release, a time to let go. When the Sun and Moon are in a square aspect to each other, they block each other’s path. In order to move forward something must change that releases powerful tension. Pay attention to your intuition. It will show you the way. During the Last Quarter phase, something is revealed, opening a pathway to a new cycle coming. We have the option to move toward the change or fight against it. Your understanding of yourself and life itself is constantly undergoing change. Each of us embraces a new world in every moment.
At 6:15 PM ET, Mars forms a sextile aspect to Pluto, increasing focus, determination, and action. Connections with others will be passionate or hot under the collar. If you have a goal in mind, you are able to push forward and discover the limits of your abilities. Sextile aspects offer opportunities. Mars brings determination and action to the power of Pluto.
