The Thrill of a Box of Astrology Books

There’s something about opening a box of books that feels like pure magic. Decades ago, in the early 2000s, I co-ran a metaphysical bookstore in Burlington, Vermont. I still remember the thrill of the box cutter slicing open the boxes, and seeing the spines of new books. My favorites, without question, were always the astrology books published by Weiser Books. There was a sense of wonder in holding those volumes, imagining the knowledge they carried.

This week, a box of books arrived again, this time to my home, my books, published by Weiser. Seeing their familiar logo alongside my name on the spine brought those memories rushing back, a beautiful full-circle moment.
