The Astrology Forecast of July 13 through July 19, 2026
Uranus is unusually active this week, forming two aspects that are part of the same fabric. On Wednesday, Uranus forms a sextile to Neptune, followed by a trine to Pluto on Saturday. Neptune and Pluto are also moving toward their own sextile, exact on July 25th. All three outer planets are currently locked into aspect with each other. These are not separate events but one connected pattern.
The Uranus-Neptune cycle began at their conjunction in 1993. Wednesday’s sextile is an early, relatively easy chapter within that younger cycle. The Uranus-Pluto cycle runs much deeper. It began at their conjunction in 1965 and 1966, planting a seed for the remaking of cultural foundations. That seed found room to grow in 1995 and met with serious resistance in 2012. Now, continuing through the spring of 2028, it moves without any resistance, and the full picture won’t arrive until their opposition in 2047.
Both threads are unwinding at once this week, one recent and one reaching back sixty years. Although trine and sextile aspects are considered positive, that doesn’t guarantee a good outcome. It guarantees a clear, open path and momentum without resistance
If you have personal natal planets or points in the early degrees, between 2 and 5, of any sign, this pattern is personal for you, not just collective weather. However, none of us is exempt from the changes brought on by the decades-long cultural shift occurring now.
Monday, July 13, 2026: Moon in Cancer | Venus Square Uranus
Venus and Uranus began a new cycle together on April 23rd, when the two planets met in conjunction. That meeting began a new cycle in how you connect with others and what you value. At 10:25 am EDT today, Venus squares Uranus, marking the first quarter of that cycle. What began in April now meets resistance. A first-quarter square asks for a decision and an action. This may feel like a disruption in a relationship or a sudden reassessment of what matters to you. It may also feel like an opportunity that requires you to act before you feel entirely ready.
When the Moon is in Cancer, your emotional need is for security and the protection of those you love. Cancer acts from deep feeling, moving toward whatever it cares about. That instinct toward protection is a part of everything today, even as Venus and Uranus push for something that looks far less settled.
- What began for you around April 23rd, that is now asking for a clear step forward?
- Where do you want certainty before making a decision?
- What significant action can you take today?
Tuesday, July 14, 2026: Cancer New Moon, Moon enters Leo
The Moon continues through Cancer today, and our needs remain oriented toward protection and the development of love. Cancer is the sign of security and protection. At 5:43 am EDT, the Sun and Moon meet at 21 degrees Cancer; the New Moon and a new lunar cycle begin.
Each New Moon begins two cycles. The first unfolds over the next four weeks, and the longer cycle unfolds over the next year. This morning, you plant the metaphorical seed. A week from now, at the First Quarter Moon, you will take action to develop what you have begun. A week after that, the Full Moon brings the first illumination of what you set in motion. In six months, the Cancer Full Moon on December 23, 2026, will bring this seed to its fullest expression.
Look to the house in your natal Whole sign chart that holds Cancer. That is where you want to plant your seed. What has been waiting in this area of your life for a new beginning? Tonight, before sleep, plant that seed in your own words on paper. Say it aloud: this is the seed, the beginning of something you will tend to over the coming weeks and months.
At 6:35 pm EDT, the Moon enters Leo, and the evening will feel quite different from the day. When the Moon is in Leo, you want to express your feelings more directly. Over the next two days, your emotional need shifts toward playfulness and expressiveness. You want others to see your warmth.
- What specific intention are you ready to plant in the house that holds Cancer in your natal chart?
- What do you want to protect or nurture differently over the coming four weeks?
- What small ritual will you create tonight to mark this beginning?
Wednesday, July 15, 2026: Moon in Leo | Uranus Sextile Neptune
The Moon continues through Leo today, and your emotional needs turn toward warmth and full expression. When the Moon is in Leo, you want to take up plenty of space and offer love openly and freely.
At 4:35 pm EDT, Uranus forms a sextile to Neptune. Uranus and Neptune met in conjunction in 1993 and began a cycle that is still unfolding. Today’s sextile is a point of opportunity within that cycle. For most of us, this plays out slowly, in how our ideas about freedom and idealism shift over the years. If you have natal planets between 2 and 5 degrees of cardinal or mutable signs, this aspect is activating you personally, and its impact will be more direct. Uranus is pushing for change exactly where Neptune has been questioning something you thought was fixed. Old certainties are loosening, and something clearer will take their place.
- If you have personal planets in early cardinal or mutable signs, where do you feel simultaneously freed and unmoored right now?
- What have you been holding back that Leo’s emotional need is pushing you to express?
Thursday, July 16, 2026: Moon in Leo, Enters Virgo
The Moon continues through Leo for most of today. This is the second day your emotions have been oriented toward expression and recognition. Notice whether what you have been offering is being well received, or whether something between you and the people around you needs to be expressed more directly.
At 8:07 pm EDT, the Moon enters Virgo, and the emotional mood becomes practical. Virgo’s emotional need is for usefulness, the satisfaction of being of service to others. Over the next two days, you will find yourself more attentive to what needs doing, less interested in how things appear, and not at all interested in recognition. The move from Leo to Virgo can feel like a sudden loss of momentum. It is a different kind of engagement, quieter and more exacting.
- Where has the Leo Moon of the past two days shown you something about your need to be seen?
- What practical matters have been waiting for your attention?
Friday, July 17, 2026: Moon in Virgo
As we move toward the weekend, the Moon is in Virgo; on an emotional level, we turn toward discernment, practical details, and order. When the Moon is in Virgo, we want to know exactly what needs to be done, and we want to take the steps to get it done well. You may find yourself drawn to the details of your work or your daily environment, noticing what has been imprecise or overlooked.
No major transits occur today, and after a week that has already brought Venus square Uranus and a generational Uranus-Neptune sextile, the quiet today is a gift. The Virgo Moon is well suited for what needs to be caught up on and completed.
- What have you been avoiding that is now asking for detailed input or attention?
- What can you complete today, and who can you help?
Saturday, July 18, 2026: Moon in Virgo | Uranus Trine Pluto
In the wee hours of this morning, Uranus formed a trine to Pluto. Like Wednesday’s Uranus-Neptune sextile, this is a generational aspect, a chapter in the cycle that began at the Uranus-Pluto conjunction of 1965 and 1966. That conjunction planted a seed for the remaking of cultural foundations, and every subsequent aspect in this cycle has continued to develop what was set in motion at that time. These are long and, from our perspective, very slow cycles. Think of the seed planted for cultural change in 1965 – 1966: an opportunity for its positive growth came in 1995, it faced great resistance in 2012, and now we are in a time when the energy is flowing without resistance. The full illumination of this cycle will come into view at their opposition in 2047. Right now, there is no resistance to the ultimate cultural shift of awareness and empowerment. This does not offer a ‘good vs bad’ determination, certainly ‘no resistance’ can go either way!
If you have personal natal planets or points in the early degrees (2-5) of any sign, these two generational activations are personal for you. While Neptune asks us to envision the future without getting lost in delusion, Uranus pushes us toward freedom and liberation, while Pluto adds power and the force of transformation. The personal changes you feel are directly impacted by the culture itself.
The Moon continues through Virgo today, and our need for careful discernment and practical analysis remains. Virgo’s gift is the ability to see what needs improvement while never losing sight of what is already working.
- What hard edges did you develop around 2012 that are now loosening?
- If you are old enough to remember, what began in your life in 1965 -1966 that now offers you hope?
- If you have personal planets in those early degrees, what big changes are in progress that impact your place in the current culture?
Sunday, July 19, 2026: Moon in Libra | Mars Sextile Saturn
At 2:10 pm EDT, Mars in Gemini forms a sextile aspect to Saturn. Mars acts with direct curiosity while Saturn brings structure and commitment to the conversation between them. This sextile between them is an invitation and an opportunity to stabilize the action and curiosity of Mars in Gemini. This brings us to a useful afternoon for accomplishing something that has felt too complicated or overwhelming before now. Mars provides the impulse and passion, while Saturn directs it with seriousness and follow-through.
The Moon entered Libra overnight, and our emotional needs for connecting and understanding are heightened. When the Moon is in Libra, we want to avoid discord by creating balance and fairness. Take advantage of your ability to see both sides of various circumstances more clearly today.
- How can the combination of determination, curiosity, and discipline benefit you today?
-
What have you been putting off that you can focus on today?
