The Week’s Astrology Synopsis

This is the final week of the eclipse season. We have been deep in a tunnel where irrevocable change occurs. On Sunday at the solar eclipse, we will find ourselves stepping out on another shore. This Virgo solar eclipse on Sunday marks a sharp edge between what has been and what is coming over the horizon. It feels as though time itself has the capacity to bend and defy its own rules.

Some things speed up while others slow to a stop. A plan you thought was certain may collapse under its own weight. A change you weren’t prepared for may arrive with clarity you never could have expected or even imagined.

Mercury changes sign this week, followed by its forming a free-flowing trine to both Uranus and Pluto. This opens a free-flow of culturally informed, powerful revolutionary conversations (or screaming matches?). Venus enters Virgo and clashes in a difficult square aspect with Uranus. Our values are jolted awake, our voices are activated as we try to express the indignation as our values are trampled.

At the end of the week, the eclipse draws a line in the sand. If something falls apart, let it go. If something begins or changes, don’t rush to label it or contain it in your previous understanding of the world you live in.

If you have not done so yet, watch the ECLIPSES video (see at the end of this week’s blog) for general information about this eclipse season. Watch the SIGN BY SIGN HOROSCOPE video to understand how it impacts you individually, as determined by your rising sign or sun sign.

COMFORT AND QUIET DESIRE: Monday, September 15, 2025

As the week begins, the Moon is in the sensitive, yet powerful sign of Cancer. This suggests that the general mood of the day is inward. There’s a natural pull toward what is familiar: routines, private spaces, family members, and people you feel safe and comfortable being with. There’s value today in taking time for yourself, retreating a little, and letting the noise of the world quiet down. Cancer is not just about comforting and caring for others; remember to take care of your own needs and emotions.

Late tonight, Venus in Leo forms a sextile to Mars in Libra. This offers an opportunity for warmth in relationships as well as momentum in personal creativity. The energy may be subtle, more of a quiet nudge than a dramatic push. Progress comes from making small adjustments. You may find that things click into place with small tweaks and simple effort.

  • Who do I want to be with today?
  • What kind of connections, and with whom, do I want to make more room for?
  • What small efforts will increase warmth and connection between me and my loved ones?

EMOTIONAL PRIORITIES: Tuesday, September 16, 2025

The Moon stays in Cancer today, keeping focus on emotions and needs. You may feel more tuned in to your environment and the people in it, especially where comfort or closeness is involved. When something or someone touches a nerve, the reaction can be sharp. Pay attention to who or what in your environment feels worth protecting. In our culture, there is a prevalence of the belief that sensitivity is weakness. Cancer proves otherwise. Cancer is a Cardinal Water sign. The Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) are the strongest. They make things happen. In this emotionally rich water sign, protection is on the agenda. If anyone messes with your loved ones at this time, you will go at them fiercely.

Cancer ties closely to the archetype of the mother; this is not about gender but about function. What does the mother provide? Comfort comes in the form of food, affection, and protection. This is Cancer, and this is our mood state today. There’s nothing abstract about this energy. It knows what it wants, and it’s loyal to the people or places that bring comfort. The best way to work with this Moon is to move more slowly, listen closely, and allow yourself to care deeply without apology.

  • What’s one small way you can make your space feel more comforting today?
  • Is there someone who needs your attention or care right now?
  • Where are you feeling emotionally exposed, and how can you respond without retreating?

PRESSURE OF CLARITY: Wednesday, September 17, 2025

In the wee hours of the morning, the Moon enters Leo, bringing a desire to express your emotions boldly. When the Moon is in Leo, fun and playfulness matter a great deal. Joy, affection, and shared excitement are like medicine to us now. If you’ve been holding back or stuck in a routine, this is a good time to shift gears. Do something that brings genuine pleasure, whether it’s a creative project, a bold, passionate conversation, or simply some random activity that makes you happy.

At 1:46 pm EDT, Mercury opposes Saturn, which can bring weight and importance to your words and how you use your voice. Mercury is currently in Virgo, so you may find your thoughts more analytical than usual. Don’t judge your thoughts or words harshly, or those of others.  You don’t need to get it right, but do pay attention to how you use your voice, what you hear others say, and how you speak up for yourself. Something difficult may become clear. No action is immediately necessary, but do pay attention.

  • What is difficult but important to say today? Do so with kindness
  • Where do I need more refinement in how I think or speak?
  • How can I respond to pressure without rushing to fix something that only needs a minor adjustment?

RECALIBRATING CONVERSATION: Thursday, September 18, 2025

The Moon continues through Leo today, continuing the desire for emotional visibility. This Moon highlights personal expression and the need to feel seen and respected. If you feel dismissed or overlooked, your response may be sharp.

Mercury enters Libra at 6:05 am EDT, where it will remain until October 6. Mercury is moving quickly now. Communication shift as Libra brings a more thoughtful, measured tone. Libra listens before speaking and looks for shared ground without giving up its own position. This transit supports planning, revising, and carefully weighing options, especially in relationships and other agreements. It’s a good time to have calm, clear conversations that respect both sides. Ha!

At 6 pm EDT, Mercury opposes Neptune. This introduces confusion or idealism into thinking and communication. Messages may be unclear, or you may misread someone’s intent. Avoid decisions that require precision. If something feels wrong, don’t question your perception; simply wait. Give conversations extra time and double-check your facts.

You can expect the day to have two separate currents: the emotional boldness of the Leo Moon, and the mental recalibration of Mercury’s entry into Libra.

  • Are you reacting to confusion, or opening your heart to clarity?
  • Do you need to slow down and check your assumptions?
  • Are you listening as closely as you want to be heard?

A FLOW OF CLARITY & PRECISION: Friday, September 19, 2025

Mercury trines Uranus and Pluto, Moon enters Virgo at 8:23 am, Venus enters Virgo at 8:38 am

Mercury forms an amazing Air grand trine with Uranus and Pluto today. This is a rare and active configuration positioned in the intellectually focused air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius). New information may surface quickly, and insights can arrive without warning. A conversation or communication may suddenly move in a direction you didn’t expect. You may understand something you couldn’t see clearly until now.

A grand trine offers a valuable flow of energy. In Air signs, it is a flow of mental clarity and sharp intellectual insight. As this channel opens, it allows for powerful and even revolutionary breakthroughs. If something needs to be reworked or reorganized, take advantage of this time to apply inspiration.

The Moon enters Virgo at 8:23 am EDT. Venus follows 15 minutes later. This double shift into Virgo turns our attention toward what needs to be fixed or who needs to be supported. Get specific about what is working and what isn’t. Practical progress can be made by focusing on what you can actually change.

Mercury’s grand trine supports a wildly powerful intellect, while Venus in Virgo favors stable service. Whether you’re handling logistics or tending to relationships, keep things clear and efficient. You are well advised to forget the big gestures and go for small corrections in the details.

  • What system or plan are you inspired to update?
  • Where are you overcomplicating something that could be simplified?
  • What task have you been avoiding that would take less time than you think?

DISRUPTIONS & ADJUSTMENTS: Saturday, September 20, 2025

The Moon continues through Virgo today, keeping focus on practical tasks and small repairs. Emotions are alert and ready to help. You may feel more sensitive than usual to what’s out of place in your environment. Virgo energy wants things to make sense and can get stuck in anxious over-analysis if they don’t. This is a good day for cleaning up and reorganizing things you’ve been putting off.

At 11:41 am EDT, Venus in Virgo squares Uranus. This aspect is bound to shake something loose. Plans may get disrupted, and people may act out of character. You might feel torn between a familiar path and one that is calling you to freedom. In relationships, this can trigger a good deal of frustration if things feel too rigid or too unpredictable. Take care in your reactions and understand that the extreme feeling of this will release in a few days.

This square can impact not only relationships but your personal values as well as your finances. You may want something different than usual, or feel turned off by what used to feel important or good to you. You may suddenly understand the value of spending money on your own self-growth. This energy may not last long, but actions taken now can profoundly impact the future. Perhaps it is time to schedule a consultation or order a recorded reading.

Today’s discomfort is useful. It draws your attention to something overdue for a change, especially in how you handle expectations and emotional labor. Notice what is calling your attention.

  • What expectation needs to be adjusted or released?
  • Where do you feel tension between stability and freedom?
  • Are you reacting to discomfort or using it as a prompt to reassess?

VIRGO SOLAR ECLIPSE: Sunday, September 21, 2025

Early this morning, the Sun opposes Saturn, setting a somber tone to the day ahead. Expectations may feel heavy or restricted. You might encounter reminders of limits and responsibilities that you need to accept, whether you like it or not. These responsibilities or difficulties have a great deal to teach you as the Solar Eclipse comes into focus.

At 3:42 pm EDT, the Solar Eclipse at 29° Virgo occurs, wrapping up this round of eclipse season. Although a solar eclipse happens at a new moon, we are not here to plant seeds; we are here to release something that has worn out its welcome. This is the first South Node solar eclipse in Virgo since 2007. Virgo rules our routines and our dedication to systems and service. Allow this eclipse to clear out the habits that drain you. This is the time for a reset of those routines, health, service, and boundaries. Virgo asks what we can refine and what needs more structure. Because it’s an eclipse, that refining comes with powerful pressure. Something in your life that’s been hidden or running on autopilot may demand attention now.

Later in the day, the Moon enters Libra at 5:41 pm EDT. Emotions ease into relationship mode. After the eclipse’s pull, you are looking to understand the needs of others. You might shift from being self-critical (Virgo) to seeing fairness in action (Libra).

Use this day to face what feels rigid, uncomfortable, and ready for an overhaul. Anything running on guilt or old obligations is on the chopping block. If you’ve been micromanaging every detail or carrying more than your share, now’s the time to stop. Let the eclipse push on the doors that need closing, and be careful what commitments you make, as they will carry great weight.

  • What area of your life feels overburdened, and what small boundary might help lighten the load?
  • What routines or habits have you been ignoring that now feel like they need repair?
  • After the eclipse, is there a relationship issue or partnership dynamic you can approach more fairly or openly?
