The Week’s Astrology Synopsis

We’re in the eclipse tunnel now. A lunar eclipse occurred yesterday, September 7, and a solar eclipse will follow on Monday, September 21. Eclipse seasons create a space of liminal time; a time between times, a delination between past and future, a threshold or a doorway. Something ends, something begins. They tend to open and close things with more force than usual. Timing may be less personal and more a matter of the collective. There’s often a sense that something larger than ourselves is in motion and we’re being pulled along with it.

There is no question that we are stepping forward into, we know not what.  The bridge to the past is being burned just as we reach the other side. There is no going back.

The solar eclipse later in the month is a powerful one. Watch the videos that Jennie and I have made for this time. Solar eclipses place us on the new path we may or may not have wanted or intended to find ourselves on. They direct us toward beginnings that arrive through interruption and closures. The space between eclipses is transitional. We are not where we were, and we’re not yet where we are going.

PISCES FOG, ARIES FIRE: Monday, September 8, 2025

The Moon begins the day in Pisces, where our feelings are fluid and changeable. We may drift between moods or have trouble putting our thoughts in order. This is not a time to slow down and listen carefully to what’s beneath the surface of what is outwardly presented. This is a day for reflection and inner contemplation.

At 2:36 pm EDT, the Moon enters Aries and the tone shifts. Emotions heat up and may arrive with a sense of urgency. Aries is never subtle, and with the moon in this cardinal fire sign, we may feel impatient, impulsive, or eager to act without any thought of the outcome. The activity of the day picks up speed whether we’re ready or not. If you find yourself feeling frustrated or impatient, push that energy through your body by going for a run, lifting weights, or clearing out the basement. Using the heat of Aries physically will settle your emotions and your reactions.

  • Where do I need to slow down and listen before jumping in?
  • What emotions am I avoiding by staying busy or distracted?
  • How can I channel frustration into physical movement instead of reaction?

PERSONAL MOMENTUM: Tuesday, September 9, 2025

The Moon remains in Aries throughout the day. Emotions may move quickly, heating up without warning. When the Moon is in Aries, we tend to enter into states of impatience and reactivity more easily than usual. You may find yourself being competitive when it is not necessary or even appropriate. Aries is a very self-focused time, so be sure you actively take time to notice and consider those around you.

You may notice that it is easier to push through something that at other times would stop you in your tracks. That can be very useful, just be sure to pay attention to what is driving your momentum.

This is a good day to focus on simple tasks that require direct individual effort. This is not a good day to sit still, as that will enable frustration to take hold. Move your body, stay in motion. Keep your attention on actions and activities that you, and you alone, can control. Everything else can wait.

  • What’s a small task that could help direct my energy today?
  • Where am I pushing just to prove something?
  • What needs my focus that no one else can do for me?

ACTION TO STABILITY: Wednesday, September 10, 2025

The Moon continues in Aries for most of the day. Immerse yourself in your own projects. A healthy level of independence and self-determination can keep your emotions moving in the right direction. If you feel frustrated, ask where you’re not putting yourself first. Of course, we need to consider others, but today, focus on your own needs without guilt.

At 4:03 pm EDT, the Moon enters Taurus, marking a shift toward steadier emotional ground. The pace of your emotions evens out. Taurus helps you slow down and pay attention to the practical realities right in front of you. Comfort matters more now. Notice what your body needs as it becomes more sensitive to rhythm and rest. You may feel pulled toward quiet routines or physical grounding. Get or give a massage. Bake bread. Work in the garden.

  • Where do I need to put myself first today without apology?
  • What helps me feel steady when the energy around me changes?
  • How can I slow down in a way that supports me?

LET THE BODY LEAD: Thursday, September 11, 2025

The Moon spends the entire day in Taurus, supporting your desire for beauty and equilibrium. Emotions tend to stay calm under this Moon, though that doesn’t mean we’re unaffected. Taurus is a fixed earth sign, and the feelings it stirs are steady and slow to shift. There’s comfort in that, especially if the earlier part of the week felt rushed or reactive. This is a day to slow down and find your footing.

When the Moon is in Taurus, it helps to pay attention to physical needs. It’s a good time to care for your body and the bodies of others. Soft clothing, comfort food, physical rest, and body care can deeply soothe us. This isn’t a day for achievement. Let the body guide you, and listen to what calms your nervous system.

  • What’s one thing my body needs right now?
  • Where can I trade productivity for real comfort?
  • How can I let beauty help ground my heart and mind?

CLARITY IN MOTION: Friday, September 12, 2025

In the early morning hours, the Sun at 19 degrees Virgo forms a sextile to Jupiter in Cancer. This evening, Mercury, also in Virgo, does the same. These aspects don’t suggest anything dramatic, but they can offer subtle clarity or insight into a conversation or situation that began in mid to late June. Virgo and Cancer both pay attention to care and service. This may be a good day to present a plan or speak honestly about something that matters to you.

The Moon stays in Taurus for most of the day, continuing yesterday’s tone of stability and grounded attention. At 5:39 pm EDT, just before the Mercury-Jupiter sextile, the Moon enters Gemini. The mood picks up, and curiosity returns. Conversations may flow more easily, and the urge to process recent events could come through in those exchanges.

  • What small conversation could lead to a bigger understanding
  • What began in June that is asking to be revisited?
  • Where are you ready to reconnect with your curiosity?

A WINDOW OF INSIGHT: Saturday, September 13, 2025

At 6:51 am EDT, the Sun and Mercury meet at 21 degrees Virgo, marking the midpoint of Mercury’s cycle. This conjunction brings a brief window of clarity. Thoughts and feelings may align just enough to say something that needed saying or to see a situation with sharper insight. Virgo points us toward discernment and service. This can open understanding, but don’t expect it to be loud or dramatic. Clarity can, and in this case will come with quiet precision.

The Moon continues moving through Gemini all day. We will continue to process our emotions through the activity of the mind rather than actually managing the feelings beneath. You may feel pulled in more than one direction, especially if your mind is moving faster than your body. Don’t look to tie anything up in a neat, tidy bow; conclusions are not ready to be reached. Maintain your interest and curiosity.

  • What do you see clearly, even if only for a moment?
  • Where are you trying to move faster than your emotions can keep up?
  • What detail have you overlooked that might shift the whole picture?

MIDCOURSE CORRECTIONS: Sunday, September 14, 2025

The day begins with the last quarter Moon at 6:33 am EDT, with the Moon in Gemini squaring the Sun in Virgo. The Last quarter Moon often brings friction between what we intended at the New Moon on August 23rd and what has actually happened since then. You may feel restless or find yourself second-guessing your direction. It’s not the time to push forward but to make adjustments and face the fact that not everything has worked as intended. We’re heading into the final days before the solar eclipse.

If you have or have not watched the Horoscope video Jennie and I made about September, watch it or re-watch it now! There is important information regarding how to navigate this time between eclipses!

The Moon continues in Gemini all day, keeping the mood changeable. There may be a desire to talk things through or to collect more information before making a decision. Let the day unfold without rushing to fix or finish what’s still questionable.

  • What needs to be adjusted instead of completed?
  • Where are you trying to resolve something that just needs time to resolve on its own?
  • What feeling keeps resurfacing, even when you try to move past it?
