Today, Jennie and I visit the natal chart of Pope Francis.

This is not a political commentary or a eulogy. It is an exploration of the symbolic structure of Pope Francis’ natal chart. Here we briefly explore the tensions, devotions, and karmic pulls that shaped a remarkable life.

Pope Francis’s chart speaks to sacred tension:

• A Moon–Venus conjunction in Aquarius in the 8th house, square Uranus at the Midheaven
• A Cancer Ascendant, ruled by an emotionally detached but service-driven Moon
• A Chiron–South Node conjunction hidden in the 12th, opposing a Sun–North Node call to service in the 6th

This was a life marked by compassion held under pressure, private strain lived out on a public stage, and a clear, painful, and persistent calling to serve something larger than himself.

Through this lens, we honor complexity.
